About 2023 Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang Trials

The window for the Rip Curl Cup Local Trials has officially opened! 32 of Indonesia’s best local surfers will compete for the final 4 spots in the Main Event at Padang Padang. The Trials window runs for a full month starting July 1st.

Past Champions

The list of past Rip Curl Cup champions includes some of the finest tube riders of the modern era. Since 2007, when the event began inviting the world’s top international tube riders alongside the top Padang locals, the international surfers hold a slight 6-5 edge over the local surfers in total RCC titles won. Made Adi Putra Memenangkan Rip Curl Trials Dengan Skor Nyaris Sempurna

Made Adi Putra "Bol" menunjukkan kemampuannya sebagai tube rider selama bertahun-tahun di Padang-Padang dengan menempati peringkat teratas di kompetisi Rip Curl Cup Trials kemarin dengan total nilai untuk dua ombak yang hampir sempurna yaitu 19,45 poin (dari total 20 poin). Dia berhasil mendapatkan nilai 9,95 di babak pertama diikuti dengan nilai 9,50 di babak kedua demi memperoleh posisi di kompetisi utama di mana ia berharap bisa meraih kemenangan untuk ketiga kalinya di Rip Curl Cup Padang-Padang 2022. Dia pernah mejuarai Rip Curl Cup sebanyak dua kali, yaitu pada tahun 2004 dan 2005, dan dia sangat menantikan kemenangan berikutnya di tahun 2022 ini.
