Taina Izquierdo
Bali, Indonesia
Taina Angel Izquierdo is a half-Puerto Rican half-Indonesian professional surfer, born and raised in Bali, Indonesia. At the age of eight she learnt to surf at Padang Padang beach on the Bukit Peninsula, and her career took off from there.
Growing up learning to surf at reef breaks like Uluwatu, Bingin and Padang quickly took her surfing skills to new levels, and at the age of 14 she joined the Rip Curl team and started competing professionally.
She is now competing on the QS and aspires to be the first Indonesian female to qualify for the World Tour. She hopes to inspire as many Indonesian girls as possible to start surfing and to enjoy the ocean as much as she does.
